As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu ,
Alhamdulillahi rabbil 'aalameen, was-salaatu was-salaam 'ala rasoolilaah wa 'ala alihi wa as-habihi ajma'een, 'amma ba'ad!
Alhamdulillah, by Allah's grace "Illuminators" was launched during the scholar workshop on 10-Apr-2011 and it is our pleasure of having you as part of this noble cause. Illuminator is started with a vision to, “Building a God fearing influential nation which is successful in this world and in the world to come”

Our Goals are to:
- Maximize the reach of spreading the message of Allah
- Upliftment of our ummah
- Build transformational leaders who will revive our ummah
Subhaan Allah, our ummah is going through testing times and the issues could be summarized as:
- Poor Education
- Poor Economical Status
- Poor in Islamic Knowledge and Practice
- Poor Media Presence in the right context
In order to address these issues, Illuminators will focus on the following areas:
- Education: We all understand the importance of education in our lives. From Adam (as) being taught the words, to the first revelation to our beloved Prophet (pbuh) "Iqra" only stresses the importance and position of knowledge. As Allah (azzawajal) says in,

Al-Baqarah:269 – "He grants Hikmah to whom He wills, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding."
InshaAllah, as illuminators we'll be focusing on the educational needs of our ummah through various projects such as:
- Financial Support for eligible poor students
- Upliftment of Muslim/Islamic schools
- Career Guidance Programme
- Soft skills classes for budding poor kids
- Poverty & Need: We need to share the barakaah that Allah has showered on us, especially those of our brothers and sisters of this ummah need the most. Needs can also be beyond just monetary benefits. Even a smile is sadaqa.
Hud:003 – “And (commanding you): "Seek the forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him in repentance, that He may grant you good enjoyment, for a term appointed, and bestow His abounding Grace to every owner of grace (i.e. the one who helps and serves the needy and deserving, physically and with his wealth, and even with good words). But if you turn away, then I fear for you the torment of a Great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).”
InshaAllah, we'll be focusing on these needs through various projects such as:
- Business Models and initial Funding
- Supporting Widows and disabled
- Islaamic Finance planning Product
- Medical / Counseling Camps
- Da'wah: Spreading the message of Allah is an obligation on each of us, today dawah has to be done even at grass-roots level addressing muslims who don’t even understanding the shahaada, aqeedah, etc., As Allah (subhaanahu wa ta’ala) says
Fussilat:033 – “And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allâh (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allâh's (Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."
InshaAllah, we'll be focusing on these needs through various projects such as:
- Media: Media is something that cannot be ignored, it is a double-edged sword having its benefits & harms, where the latter is more prominent. It is our responsibility to use this medium of communication to the benefit of our ummah. Where majority of our ummah is hooked up into this media and the only way to reach them is to communicate through the same medium. When the ignorant part of the world goes arrogant on our deen then it is our responsibility to handle them with hikmah and sensible journalism.
InshaAllah, we'll be focusing on these needs through various projects such as:
- Bringing Islamic Channels to Home
- Media Response Team (MRT)
The Muslim ummah has always been tried and tested and will be done so in future, the question is, are we going to be passive viewers? Is that what we’ll teach the next generations? What is the legacy that we want to leave?
As Allah (azzawajal) says in Surah An-Nisa (95-96)

“Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with their wealth and their lives. Allâh has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives to those who sit (at home). To each, Allâh has promised good (Paradise), but Allâh has preferred those who strive hard and fight, to those who sit (at home) by a huge reward. Degrees of (higher) grades from Him, and forgiveness and mercy. And Allâh is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
Alhamdulillah, you have decided not be just a bystander but to be the Illuminator – The Ummah of Action. We whole-heartedly welcome you to begin this journey to create “The Legacy”…
